and we are investing in our current portfolio companies and augmenting them with additional investments to ensure our portfolio offers unmatched, future-proofed services and products which articulate four or so components of our approach that distinguish us from other PE funds; I believe one is our ability to use our executive management experience to have a hands-on approach to our portfolio management; another is we look for technology trends that can be harnessed in innovative ways for business purposes, etc. For example, ‘we’ anticipated that social media would become an important component of business intelligence, and we acted on that, build the capability and inserted it into one of our portfolio companies as a market channel. Another example would be our partners’ early anticipation of ‘big data’s’ value to business and our partners’ due diligence to find an appropriate partner, infuse it with one of our existing portfolio technologies (visualization of big data), and utilized one of our operating companies as a market channel for this new capability
